Eleventh Day of Christmas… which was totally exhausting

“On the eleventh day of Christmas my true love gave to me, eleven pipers piping, ten lords a leaping, nine ladies dancing, eight maids a milking, seven swans a swimming, six geese a laying, five golden rings. Four calling birds, three French hens, two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree.”

After just arriving home from babysitting four kids for five hours, it’s taken a toll on both my sister and I. Phew, 2 one year old twins, a two year old and a four year oldis a gigantic handful. Fortunately, I had some time to myself to come up with tonight’s post (with some help!) Below, I will be inserting pictures if I haven’t already, of 11 decorations from our tree along with the meaning behind them.

Skates: Glimmers in the sunlight & dangles from the boughs. They were also given to us by a close family friend. ~Lucia

Gingerbread Man: Well known homemade ornaments produced by our nine year old little friend

Glass Mickey Mouse Ball: Elegant but classic & comes in multiple colors. Our newest addition to the tree! ~Lucia

Drums: An older item on our tree, which I can’t remember where we got it.

Soccer Ball: Personalize your tree by adding decorations of your choice based on sports (obviously ours is soccer) ~Lucia

M & M: A random collector item piece that got collected over the years, but it’s super cute

Gold, sparkly Christmas tree: Definitely an elegant decoration to spice up our/your tree

Tinsel: This year we actually didn’t put it on the tree, but wrapped it around the stairwell instead

Sparkly Snowflake: It doesn’t really make up for not having a white Christmas, but at least it looks nice on the tree!

Bird in Nest: Part of our “homemade collection,” nicely perched on one of the tree’s branches. ~Lucia

Besides the list above, we have an assortment on many different decorations that have been collected/given to us over the years. Anyway, tomorrow will be the twelfth day of Christmas (not really, only in my mind!!!) and then on Christmas I’ll have a finale post which is still yet to be determined. It’s 1 am where I live at the moment so I should really be hitting the sack.
